These terms set out how you buy from George Walker Ltd, whether you order online, over the phone or at the yard. By placing an order you agree to them.

George Walker Ltd is a family timber merchant based on the Fosse Way in Syston, Leicester. Our full contact details are on the contact page. References to “we”, “us” and “our” mean George Walker Ltd.
Orders and quotes
A quote or basket is an invitation to order, not a binding contract, until we confirm it. We may decline or cancel an order where stock is unavailable, a price is clearly wrong, or we cannot fulfil it. Bespoke and machined-to-order items are made to your specification, so please check measurements carefully.
Pricing and payment
Prices are shown in pounds sterling. Where applicable, the delivery charge is calculated and shown before you confirm an order. We take payment by the methods shown at checkout or at the counter; trade accounts are subject to separate agreed terms.
Delivery and collection
Delivery areas, charges and timescales are set out on our delivery & collection page. Timber is a natural product; small variations in colour, grain and moisture are normal and not a fault.
Returns and cancellations
Unused stock items in resaleable condition may be returned within a reasonable period — please contact the yard first to arrange it. Bespoke, cut-to-size and special-order items cannot usually be returned unless faulty. Your statutory rights are not affected.
Liability
Nothing in these terms limits our liability where it would be unlawful to do so, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence. Otherwise our liability is limited to the value of the goods supplied.
